There is still time to apply for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources "Learn to Bear Hunt" Program.  Established in 2005, this program is open to novice hunters 10 and over who have not purchased a Class A or B bear licence.  Applications are due by May 25th.

The DNR is also looking for bear hunter mentors.  If you have five or more years experience bear hunting and would like to share your knowledge with novice hunters, you can apply to work with this program.
