Deer Count Down Opening Weekend

MADISON - For the second year in a row, the number of deer taken in the opening weekend of Wisconsin’s gun season was down dramatically from the year before.
A preliminary report from the DNR showed that just over 100-thousand deer were shot Saturday and Sunday. That’s down 25-percent from last year, and 41-percent from 2007.
